DRC Conflict Free

Dockweiler Chemicals GmbH confirms that all delivered products are “DRC Conflict Free“(1)  according to the U.S. “Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act”: Sec. 1502; we reasonably believe that the necessary Conflict Mineral (2) comes from recycled or scrap sources.

(1) “DRC Conflict Free” means “that a product does not contain conflict minerals necessary to the functionality or production of that product that directly or indirectly finance, or benefit armed groups, as defined in paragraph (d)(2) of this item, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo or an adjoining country. Conflict minerals that a registrant obtains from recycled or scrap sources, as defined in paragraph (d)(6) of this item, are considered DRC conflict free.” (Item 1.01, Conflict Minerals Disclosure and Report, paragraph (d)(4) (77 Fed. Reg. 56364)).

(2) “Conflict Mineral” refers to minerals listed in the U.S. „Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act “: Sec. 1502. Conflict Minerals; see US SEC’s implementing regulation at 17 CFR § 240 and § 249b (promulgated at 77 Fed Reg 56362; http://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/FR-2012-09-12/pdf/2012-21153.pdf): Specifically Item 1.01, Conflict Minerals Disclosure and Report, paragraph (d)(3) (77 Fed Reg 56364):

  1. Columbite-tantalite (coltan), cassiterite, gold, wolframite, or their derivatives, which are limited to tantalum, tin, and tungsten; or
  2. any other mineral or its derivatives determined by the U.S. Secretary of State to be financing conflict in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) or an adjoining country (Angola, Burundi, Central African Republic, Republic of the Congo, Rwanda, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zambia).
