(Al,Sc)N for next-gen Power Electronics
Energy transition and internet of things are essential questions of today’s society and won’t work within the limits of silicon high-power technology. New materials, such as (Al,Ga)N/GaN, show a substantially enhanced efficiency compared to conventional silicon technology and are commercially available already. Nevertheless, recently published results on (Al,Sc)N HEMT structures show the potential for even more enhanced devices.
